Makeshift

Build a bridge, a rocket, a robot or a brick wall — then watch it break, and read exactly why it broke, in real numbers. Fix it. Run it again. That is the whole game.

No engineering background needed. Every level walks you through the controls, and if you can't picture the answer there is a working one you can load and take apart.

How a level goes

  1. 1Read the briefIt tells you what has to survive what. Cross a gap, reach orbit, climb a slope, take a shove.
  2. 2Build somethingDrag members, stack tanks, pick gears, lay bricks. A budget caps what you can spend.
  3. 3Run the testIt gets loaded, launched, driven or pushed, and usually it fails the first time.
  4. 4Read why it brokeWhich part gave way, what it was carrying, and the limit it went past — then fix that one thing.

Failures unlock the idea behind them, and the same ideas keep coming back across worlds: moment arm decides a cantilever bridge and a top-heavy robot alike. The notebook says so when you meet one the second time.
